BUILD Peninsula to Hold Business Plan Competition May 8th
PALO ALTO, CA (April 28, 2010) – BUILD, the nation’s largest entrepreneurship-focused college access program, will celebrate its 11th Annual Youth Business Plan Competition for high school students on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. BUILD is a non-profit organization that offers a youth development program in partnership with high schools across the Bay Area to help underserved youth start their own businesses, graduate high school, and get accepted into college.At the Youth Business Plan Competition, teams of ninth-grade students will present unique business models to a prestigious panel of judges, which will include representatives from both business and academic communities. The judges include:

• Natasha Deganello Giraudie, Founder/CEO of MicroDocumentaries
• Jack Dorsey, Founder/Chairman of Twitter
• Kai Huang, Founder/CEO of Guitar Hero
• Neeru Khosla, Founder/CEO of CK-12 Foundation
• Wing Lam, co-Founder of Wahoo’s Fish Tacos
• Jim Lussier, Managing Partner of NorWest Venture Partners
• Milbrey McLaughlin, Professor at the Stanford University Graduate School of Education
