BUILD is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. 

Information Collected

Here are the types of donor information that we collect and maintain:  

  • Contact information: name, organization/company, complete address, phone number, and email address;

  • Donation information: amounts donated, date of donation(s), and method(s) of donation (credit card numbers are NOT retained once processed);

  • Any requests or comments from you regarding your donation;

  • Information about events you have attended;

  • Information gathered from database modeling firms. 

How Information is Used

BUILD uses your data to maintain records of donations, send acknowledgments, mail tax statements to you, send newsletters, notices, and direct mail pieces. We normally add you to our mailing list, unless you request otherwise. 

We may publish your name associated with a gift range on our website or annual report unless you request anonymity.  You can request anonymity at the time you make your gift or at any time by emailing gifts@build.org or calling (650) 688-5840.

No Sharing of Personal Information

Use of donor information will be limited to internal purposes and only to further the mission of BUILD.

BUILD will not sell, rent, trade or transfer your personal information to outside organizations. All third-party services BUILD uses are contractually obligated to treat the lists with confidentiality and are prohibited from transferring them elsewhere. Nevertheless, security measures may not prevent all losses, and BUILD is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to security failures. 

Removing Your Name From Our Mailing List

HOW TO RECORD

1. iPhone, iPad, Zoom and Loom are all choices of recording tools for their video presentation 
2. Record with both students and their presentation in view
3. Record horizontally for the best view of the students and their presentation
4. Follow Presentation Diagram to the Right

PRESENTATION TIPS.

- Make eye contact with the camera
- Notecards may be used as cue cards
•Pro Tip: Notecards should avoid having a full script
- Even when you are not speaking, don’t forget the camera is still recording!
•Be aware of your body language while you and your business partners are speaking
- Everyone has an opportunity to speak
- Professional dress is encouraged
- Practice makes perfect
•Practice how you will transition from each speaker
•Project your voice when you speak​
