San Francisco, CA – September 29, 2025 – BUILD.org, a national nonprofit that empowers youth from under-resourced communities through entrepreneurship education, will celebrate its 25th anniversary by hosting BUILD the Future on October 7, 2025 at The Alexandria. The experiential and interactive celebration, which will engage Bay Area executives and philanthropists, students, and BUILD Alumni, will honor Marc Cadieux, President of Silicon Valley Bank, a Division of First Citizens Bank, with the Visionary Award for his 25 years of leadership and commitment to innovation, community impact, and expanding opportunity for all.

Unlike traditional galas, BUILD the Future is an invite-only, experiential evening, showcasing the power of entrepreneurial mindsets transforming high school students’ lives and the communities in which they live. Guests – business leaders, philanthropists, and community champions – will step into the shoes of BUILD students, engage in student-led business expos, and cheer on young entrepreneurs pitching live. The event also features live music, cocktails, and BUILD Alumni stories.
“When you put real-world problems in young people’s hands, they don’t just imagine the future—they build it. BUILD the Future is a celebration of students’ brilliance and the community that champions them. Honoring Marc Cadieux—from his early mentorship in our first classrooms to his leadership at SVB—underscores what’s possible when industry invests in the next generation of changemakers and innovators,” says Thais Rezende, President & Interim CEO, BUILD.
