On behalf of the BUILD NYC team, our outstanding students, parents, school partners, and volunteers, thank you for joining us on June 1 for BUILDFest NYC. Because of generous supporters like you, we raised $261,000 in support of our youth entrepreneurs, the leaders of tomorrow.

Here are some of the highlights!
BUILDFest NYC kicked off with a Student Marketplace. During the cocktail hour, our guests mingled with the student entrepreneurs, learned about their businesses, and bought their amazing innovative products.
Our students generated $1,240 in sales, making this the highest-grossing Sales Bazaar in BUILD NYC history! Two companies completely sold out of their products.
Morgan Radford, NBC News correspondent and anchor for NBC News Now, was our MC for the evening.
She used her charm and wit to keep our program running smoothly and our audience engaged.
The BUILDFest NYC 2022 honorees were our dedicated teachers who are the backbone of our program. They work tirelessly to empower our young people to take control of their education, careers, and lives.
We could not do this important work without them.
Our Keynote Speaker was BUILD Alumni Hamid Cruz, a rising sophomore at Columbia University where he is studying computer science on a full scholarship.
During his inspiring talk, Hamid spoke directly to BUILD students and offered them words of encouragement.
“Listen, you’re all here because of the hard work you’ve put in… Really stop and look at where you are right now. No matter what the outcome is, you’ve all grown and stand farther than where you began.
That alone is phenomenal. I am very proud of every one of you.” – BUILD Alumni Hamid Cruz
