BUILD’s Teacher Fellowship Aims to Ignite Youth Entrepreneurship

In August, BUILD launched the Southwestern PA Teacher Fellowship Pilot for middle and high school educators who are interested in developing their students’ 21st-century skills. Fellows receive professional development on critical topics including Project-based Learning, Social-emotional Learning, Design Thinking, and Entrepreneurship Education. “We are thrilled to launch this Fellowship to help spread the magic of youth entrepreneurship. Students become more engaged in their learning when they can map their skills to the real-world and that’s how BUILD helps students become the CEOs of their own lives”, said Founding Director, Lamar Blackwell. Out of 70 applications, 45 educators were invited to join the fellowship, representing 25 schools and serving over 5,000 students across Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties!
