Each year BUILD recruits hundreds of volunteers and mentors to support our high school entrepreneurs. These volunteers are the backbone of our program and provide valuable feedback and coaching as Shark Tank-style judges, secret shoppers, venture advisors, and more.

This year on November 16, in celebration of National Entrepreneurship Day, we’re flipping the pitch and giving our youth entrepreneurs the opportunity to be the coaches and judges!

*Limited to 2 volunteers per company
**Please RSVP by November,1, 2022

You will be assigned a cross-company team, receive photos of a real BUILD student product, and work collaboratively in a breakout session with your new friends and a BUILD student coach to come up with your pitch. Then the competition begins! Each team will have a few minutes to pitch and answer Q&As from BUILD students.

This event is a great opportunity to learn more about BUILD, meet our high school entrepreneurs and help them practice giving feedback and public speaking, network with other BUILD supporters, win prizes, and have fun…all from the comfort of your own home or office!

BUILD’s mission is to ignite the potential of youth in under-resourced communities to build Career success, Entrepreneurial mindsets, and Opportunity. For 20 years, BUILD has been empowering students to develop and run small businesses. BUILD supplements traditional classroom instruction with real-world business experiences, workforce development, and critical skill-building for the future. Entrepreneurship is the hook—college and career success are the goals.
