Michelle Lacroix is an eight-year veteran teacher from Baltimore. She studied Journalism and Political Science at Penn State before joining Teach for America in 2011. Through her time in Baltimore, she earned her Master’s Degree in Urban Education as well as a Certificate in Supervision. In addition, she helped to establish a non-profit called B’More Global that fundraises scholarships for middle-schoolers to go on trips abroad. She is passionate about providing opportunities to youth and is excited to continue that work with BUILD. She is also an avid traveler has spent time working with teachers in Uganda as well as doing yoga teacher training in Thailand. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, working on her French speaking skills, and (trying) to play the ukelele.
