BUILD Boston is pleased to announce that Tony Bordon, a two-decade veteran of the educational software industry, has joined its Board of Advisors. Tony is the Managing Director of Spinnaker Analytics, an international data analytics firm providing predictive tools and solutions to optimize business engineering and decision-making headquartered in Boston.
“On behalf of BUILD, we are excited that Tony is now part of the Boston Board,” said Roy Hirshland, CEO of T3 Advisors and Chair of the BUILD Boston Board. “He has spent his life focused on educational software, so he brings a wealth of expertise that will be essential to BUILD’s continued growth. We are thrilled to be working with Tony on expanding the mission and work of BUILD in Boston and beyond.”
Prior to Spinnaker Analytics, Mr. Anthony J. Bordon, also known as Tony, worked as a strategy consultant for Guggenheim Partners and served as the President of The Learning Company at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company. He also held presidential positions at The Princeton Review, Knowledge Adventure, and was Chief Operating Officer at digital educational publisher Riverdeep Inc. In 1992, Tony was one of the early executives of startup SoftKey Software which changed its name to the Learning Company and sold to toy giant Mattel in 1999. He served as Senior Vice President of Sales and then President of the company’s International Operations.

Tony received a B.S. from St. Thomas Acquinas College and graduated Harvard Business School’s Executive Management Program in 2004. He is also a Trustee for The Boston Children’s Museum.
