Why Volunteers Are Important In The Classroom
BUILD identifies social capital as networks of people and community resources that can provide both instrumental and emotional support to navigate through society’s institutions. Volunteers in the BUILD classroom become a part of that network whether they spend an hour a week or an hour a year supporting students. Volunteers coming from all different backgrounds are integral to students gaining an entrepreneurial mindset and sharing opportunities with them so they can become CEO of their lives.
