BUILD Winter Retreat

From December 14th-18th, BUILD Staffers joined together for many relaxing and creative activities as we celebrated our Winter Retreat 2020. That included Meditation and Yoga led by Natasha Coco Benitez and Justine Johnson, respectively. Natasha is a former BUILDer (who is still family,  because #OnceABUILDerAlwaysABUILDer) and Justine is a close friend and ally. They really helped keep BUILD Staffer centered and focused on our continued mission of Educational Equity and Entrepreneurial Education. We highly recommend!

BUILD Meditation

Thank you to @CoachWithCoco for hosting an all-staff meditation to kick off our Org-Wide Winter Retreat Week last Monday!

Natasha Coco Benitez is a former BUILD Metro DC Program Manager and crowd-favorite judge at BUILD Events. Her high energy and bubbly spirit always brings out smiles and laughter in nervous 9th graders pitching their ideas for the first time. In 2018, Coco founded Coach with Coco and became an internationally certified health & life coach.

She supports people as they explore habit change to live their happiest and healthiest life. We love Coco and highly recommend her for personal training and corporate events!

BUILD Yoga

A big thanks to @jjustine28 for facilitating an invigorating yoga session for our BUILDers to help get up and moving during out Org-Wide Winter Retreat Week!

Justine became a yoga teacher to enhance her skills as a special education teacher, but has found a passion for teaching yoga beyond what she ever expected.

Justine creates an inclusive environment based on the belief that yoga should be accessible to all abilities and bodies and enjoys teaching a well rounded class that brings harmony to the body, breath, and mind.
