Tim Ferriss

The Four-Hour Dinner with Tim Ferriss

How often do you get a chance to dine with one of the world’s most innovative business people? Tim Ferriss, the author of the best-selling book The 4-Hour Workweek, is ready to sit down with you and three of your guests for a leisurely 4-hour dinner in San Francisco, CA. Seize this once in a lifetime opportunity and bid in BUILD’s online auction before June 30, 2015.

Tim Ferriss with Ayele Shakur, BUILD Boston’s Regional Executive Director.

Tim Ferriss received BUILD Boston’s BUILDer of the Year award in 2014 and is an enthusiastic supporter of BUILD’s mission to ignite the potential of youth in under-resourced communities. Youth in these areas shouldn’t be at a disadvantage to anyone else. As Tim is known as one of the biggest authors these days, he is looking to inspire other potential authors, or business people, to follow their dreams. Tim is experienced in a lot of areas, this means that he can help a range of people with different interests. However, due to his track record of best-selling books, those aspiring to become an author could benefit from the chance to work with Tim. By meeting this author, he could offer some highly valuable advice for upcoming authors, such as using self publishing companies if other publishers don’t want to be involved with your book. That advice is useful, especially since some authors might give up on their book after being rejected by a publishing company. BUILD hopes to give more people the chance of meeting Tim to inspire a generation of people who might not have many resources available to them.

“A lot of kids, particularly those in economically disadvantaged areas, feel disempowered. When you give them something that they have crafted that they are steering, it leads to other types of ambition.”

-Tim Ferriss

Ferriss has been listed as one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Business People”, Forbes Magazine’s “Names You Need to Know,” and is the 7th “most powerful” personality on Newsweek’s Digital 100 Power Index for 2012. He is an angel investor/advisor (Uber, Facebook, Twitter, Evernote, and 20+ more) and author of the following books:

The 4-Hour Workweek Sold into 35+ languages, #1 New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and BusinessWeek bestseller.

The 4-Hour Body #1 New York Times bestseller.

The 4-Hour Chef #1 Wall Street Journal and New York Times bestseller; winner of a Gourmand “Best in the World” Award at the 18th Annual Paris Cookbook Awards.

Tim is listed as #6 in the “Top 20 Angel Investor” rankings for 2014 and Newsweek calls him “the world’s best guinea pig,” which he takes a compliment. His podcast – focused on deconstructing world-class performers – is often ranked #1 across all of iTunes. If you haven’t already, you should give it a listen, whether on a morning commute or as evening entertainment. His blog is one of Inc. Magazine’s “19 Blogs You Should Bookmark Right Now”, and it has been ranked #1 on the Top 150 Management and Leadership Blogs list.

Tim’s Twitter account was selected by Mashable as one of “5 Must-Follow Twitter Accounts for Entrepreneurs.”
